The Fountain St. Patrick's Park
Among the landscaped gentle interplay
Of historical tourist trappings
and gentrified splendor
People are taking photos of
geraniums and flying buttresses
While the Tesla boys are chancing their arm
In the fountain the two of them
Pocketing wishes, the loose change
flings of passers by
Magnified coins submerged under the
fabled rinses of junkie needles
irresistible to the Magpied eyes of these two
Three foot lightning bolts, these little storms
Thunder through the park
Swift would be pleased
In their back garden, two new millennia boys
So Joycean, one wielding a majorette baton the
Other wearing a flat cap
Both swiped, one from a sister
the other a great great grandfather.
